We have a ford falcon futura 97 wagon that has an itermittent engine
stalling problem , this happens upon ignition and also whilst
driving..engine completly cuts out.,
after it cuts out it may or may not start again immediately....

the mechanic has checked all fuel lines and fuel related parts,
changed coil, changed battery ...this has not rectified the problem,
and run a significant amount of tests on the vehicle...
a secondary problem is the radiator light will not go out even though
the radiator is full, and it is ittermittently going through water, a
pressure test has been done.
any help would be appreciated in getting the gremlin out of the
system,
thanx in advance.

A long shot and probably off track, but these models suffered a
problem with the ignition barrel coming loose, a relatively easy fix
by looking at the wiring loom going into the barrell, there are some
tabs iirc that need to be tightened up.

A common problem, more than likely the sender unit in the overflow
tank is stuffed, can't remember the exact price but circa $36 rings a
bell and you can replace it yourself in a fwe minutes.

Look for water stains around the usual places and pay particular
atention to water stains on the block below the head. Could also be
leaking water into a cylinder.

*Check* and clean Idle speed motor, this can cause car to stall aswell.
