If you want it to last (and they are very expensive to fix) do a
fluid change and band adjustment every 30,000 Km or 18 months
minimum.

My EL's auto had it's 1st auto service @ 110,000k's. I doubt Ford did
anything but charge me for a service and just check the fluid. It's now got
220,000k's on it. Still not slipping or showing signs of wear. The S5
solenoids gone but had been since 120,000k's. It's not hurting it, so I aint
replacing it when the auto will need replacement anyway. I'm hoping it'll
keep going till I trade the car in which will be around 2007.
I keep meaning to service it but works busy, I'm busy and it never gets
done. Maybe one day soon??

my NF v8 is starting to play up its at 150,000ks, when cold (around 6
degrees or less)
and on the first take off only it slips in second for some reason. never
does it at any other time, fluid is new as is filter, there is also flaring
between 2nd to third in econo mode, but I never use that anyway.
when she's dead, I want to have a 5 speed manual NF, as im certain the next
owner of this car will be a dump/wrecker anyway so I don't care about
resale.
| What service (oil change?) should be given to a NF falcon auto transmission?
| It is at 100, 000 km with no problems yet.
