EL Radiator

Has anybody heard of this before, it just cost me $207 dollars to have the
radiator cleaned of casting sand build up from when the block was originally
cast back in the late nineties. By god that is a great advertisement for
Ford quality assurance.

Well funny that.

A new radiator for an EL is only $165.

Are you sure it wasn't just sludge from irregular coolant changes?

It's quite normal if it was the 1st radiator ever put in the car. Mine had
the same. I just bought a new radiator @ $210 in 1999. I've since flushed
the radiator and found no problems.
