Hi,
I am the proud owner of a 1991 EA Ford Falcon station wagon. I have
however had a major problem with the transmission (4 speed auto) - to
cut a long story short, there was a major clunk and fluid spewed
everywhere.
I thought that to solve the problem I'd just buy a second hand one from
the wreckers and swap them. $ was a major consideration, as I was told
that to recon the trans would be considerably more than putting in a
second hand one. I was keen to do the work myself, however, I'm
probably a little out of my depth, but still having fun!!
The wreckers only had an EB trans, which he assured me would fit in. I
am in the process on installing this now.
Can anyone tell me if this is going to work or are there any tips you
might have? I've purchased a new filter and pan gasket and will
purchase the correct fluid as well.
Cheers
Simon

Simon,
All should be the same, there was a change of motor size during the EB run
but that shouldn't affect the fitting to my knowledge, anyone else know
better?
