I am having a problem with my El falcon, under heavy braking the motor
stalls, has anybody got an idea what could wrong with it.

my XG panelvan did the same... I found the problem was the wrong fuel
pump... have you got any issues with your fuel gauge? ie, it stays on full
for about 150km then starts dropping? Could point to the wrong fuel
pump/gauge assembly in the tank... my guess is its too short and when you
brake the fuel gets pushed to the front of the tank and the pump just sucks
nothing in...

Hi Niko,
I have not changed anything since new, the car has only 107,000 on it, only
started doing this a few weeks ago.

Hi,

Your problem is the ISC Valve. (Idle Speed Motor)

It is a cylinder located on the inlet manifold near the air intake tube, it
has two 10 MM bolts, simply unbolt & unplug the unit & spray degreaser in
the two holes (once removed) and let dry, shake it well then install again.
That will fix your problem.

Great to hear it's solved your problem :)
Another problem that causes similar symptoms are cracked or missing vacuum
hoses.
