Problem with my EF Falcon?
Hi all
I have a 95 model ford falcon EF.
I have replaced the crank angle sensor twice and still every time the
car gets hot it will not start. The only way to get it to start when
it is hot is to pour cold water on and around the crank angle sensor.
On Saturday it starting affecting the transmission. When the car gets
hot now I lose all gears including reverse. Then if I pour water over
the crank angle sensor it works again until the motor gets hot again.
Please help.

Is the pick-up magnet that trips the crank angle sensor Ok?  Is
the running at normal temp or overheating?

is the ECU holding any codes ?

Its what I would be checking - and if its referring to a faulty crank angle
sensor signal, and after changing it twice, id be looking at checking the
electrical connection to the sensor - since clearly it starts working when
it cools down...
