Doesn't it sh.t you! I had the same problem with a clapper, had it
recond and still had the same fault. Got another of the reco bloke and
within a day it smashed its teeth, finally got the starter out of my
old LTD which I had traded for the new one.

Unfuckingbelievable. To make it worse I had the ring-gear replaced. That'll
learn me to (again) "never trust anything".....no wonder one gets paranoid
sometimes.
Its good they only come out with 2 easy bolts Kieron,...could whistle the
bastards out after a while :-)

Yeah :) I got good at it after a while and without ramps is a bastard
of a job and that thing is bloody heavy.
Try doing a starter motor on an E series engine if you want more fun
