hi guys thanks for the info on the 302, i was offered a xc with a 302c
running smooth and clean for a $100 thought i couldn't go wrong so snapped
it up. Problem now is had to borrow a dizzy to hear it running and now can't
get hold of one at a budget price. If anyone has one they want to sell or
even swap it would be great.

ps. have xc fairmont body no running gear, 4.1lt engine with alloy head,
auto tranny, many other xd, e, f parts willing to swap for dizzy

Agood one is as easy to get as rocking-horse sh.t,.....try older wrecking
yards or the 'Parts Peddler' or similar Trading Post' type publications
where people sell car bits.

Beware about 1/2 way thru the the XD range, Ford increased the diameter of
the lower shaftbelow the drive gear by a half mm, so be sure you get one
from an XC or earlier or be prepared to vernier the lower shaft to ensure
its diameter is = 12.5mm and not 13.1mm which is found in some XDs and all
XEs

There are a lot of  Mallory dual point after market dizzies with the right
shaft size that were sold, so getting one of those would do the job, tho not
the greatest thing compared to fully electronic.

Price will depend on condition, but I'd pay no more than $100 for a mint
condition one or $50 for an ordinary condition one.
