I have a 1961 Ford Falcon, the engine is not original (I think).  It is a
Ford 289 V8.

Where on the block would I find the engine identification or serial number.

Thanks,
Jordan

Look on the back of the block behind the inlet manifold, there should
be a raised flat area on the passenger side of the block (assuimng a
RHD car) the engine number should be stamped on it but is sometimes
hard to read, especially if the block has been repainted.
