EA falcon possible blown head gasket?

I recently purchased a EA falcon for $750...only to discover, to my
horror, that the car overheats.
after driving it 200km, I woke up the next morning, only to find it had
a streak of white milky oil on the dipstick when I checked it.

It should be noted, the car recently suffered an LPG gas leak thanks to
the dodgy work of a repco mechanic at cessnock.
Would this cause water to enter the oil?
The motor appears to be running a bit unevenly.

The car also appears to have something wrong with the valve stem seals
or valve guides because blue smoke always comes out on startup. This
wouldnt cause water to enter the oil would it?

If it is a blown head gasket, I was wondering if it would be possible to
drive the car 150km while changing the oil maybe once or twice in the
journey? (ill keep the used oil in a bottle) that way I can drive the
car back to the seller, get a refund and let him deal with it.

Being a gas car, to access the head you need to do things that access
the fuel system like take off the inlet manifold and air filter. this
car has a special gas air filter with some sort of pipe coming out of it
and going from it to the gas converter? possibly gas enters via that
pipe into the injectors or something...dont know though because ive
never really worked on a gas car.

Hopefully I can just change the oil twice over 150km, drive it back to
the seller and get my refund?

Me thinks y amaybe have  ahair line crack mate, this would be most likely
bewteen the oil line which there-fore lets oil into the water channels.
Another way is check ya oil and oil filter. If this is also milky man your
gonna suffer my fate  lol

If ya can take it back, do so and get ya cash back  Good luck

you were expecting a decent car for $750?
Why were you horrified to find something wrong with it, I mean really.

Getting the head gasket replaced and the head repaired professionally is
already going to cost more than you paid for the car.

Best bet is to do it yourself.

I have bought good cars for alot less than $750...
the advertisement in the trading post had "good motor" written in it so
he has to give me my money back...the only thing is a method of getting
it 150km.

you reckon a private car seller is going to give you your money back ?

If he agreed to this prior to the sale, and its not been transferred fair
enough, if not, I think its well and truly yours now.

I know that if I sold one of my cars and the buyer said the car had
something wrong with it I would give the money back to them.

I mean it's not like it was their fault that i stuffed the motor and
then did everything i could to get rid of it, even say that an EA for
$750had a good engine,, well it could have been true compared to the
rest of the car.

I wouldn't care that i have no legal obligation to give back $750, i
still would, as i said it's not like it was your fault.

But then again i do drive a Daewoo...

More than likely the head water ports have corroded allowing water
into the oil, together with the worn valve guides, would point to a
recon head which will cost more than what you paid for the car.

Good luck with getting your money back, have you called the seller and
discussed it with them?

Robbie,...trying to baby the car on a long trip in this condition is really
just a lottery. If the day is not too hot and the coolant leak into the
cylinders is not too bad, you will get away with it.

Your EA has a blown head-gasket and /or a cracked head, probably due to
overheating which means the head will need checking for warp and possible
resurfacing.
