i'm fairly new to the v8 game and have been looking at buying a 302, was just wondering if someone could tell me how to tell the difference between a cleveland and a windsor any info would help thanks >i'm fairly new to the v8 game and have been looking at buying a 302, was >just wondering if someone could tell me how to tell the difference between a >cleveland and a windsor any info would help thanks Simple way is to look at the thermostat housing, on a Clevo it bolts to the top front of the block, a Windsor thermo housing bolts onto the front face of the inlet manifold. The Windsor looks smaller than the Clevo too, W heads are narrower and as such the rocker covers are smaller. The windsor, it revs harder. If you want to go old school, the 302W with Clevo heads is a cheapish way to make good power. Or injection, you will find the Windsor is really the only way to go. I think its line-ball down low for the 302 Clevelands and Windsor, though a 4 BBL and manifold from a 351c on the Cleveland helps it go a bit better.
