Is the problem more likely to occur when the gas tank is low
or on curves (clover leaf or round-about) at speed?

The TSBs are for US cars only. They won't cover the TDCi.
Plugged or dirty EGR valves on the TDCi have been a cause of rough running,
so perhaps in an extreme case it could cause the stalling you are
experiencing?
