"it seems to be in time with the injectors"
You must have bloody good hearing (or an oscilloscope)....

Yes I do have an Oscilloscope.. and when I used a small loop antenna, the RF
interference was higher around the injector cables. Also the interference
clicks increase inline with engine speed, ie more revs = more noise spikes
per second.
Next idea?
It's not the injectors or the ECU - it's the ignition coil. And the coil,
effectively being a transformer, will emit electromagnetic waves.
You may have better luck working on the radio.
You don't say how the interference is picked up - is it parasitic noise on
the power lines to the radio or it comes via RF.

No ignition coil on a Diesel?. It is Peizo Injectors. I just want to find
the ECU that drives the pulses. it is a UK 1.6 TDCI.
and it is RF bourne, same noise levels when the radio is powered by a 12V
lead acid batery.

This is why I want to find the ECU, so I can see if there is anything I can
do.

are you from the UK?
is this not a 1.8TDCI?
the PCM/ECU is in the drivers footwell however i dont think there is
anything wrong with it inside the injectors there are 'peizo crystals'
which vibrabe under VHF this is normal

No it is definitely a 1.6 Diesel engine Ford Focus
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/long_term_test/55980/ford_focus_16_tdci_zetec.html
And it may be normal, it certainly is NOT acceptable under CE regulations..
