My wife wants to have the passenger airbag disabled in her Focus so
that she can put the rear facing baby seat in the front with her.

Just had it serviced so asked them to disable it. They said it could
not be done and would not offer a reason why.

Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Many thanks

i saw how to do this just by chance today
go back to the ford dealer tell them to plug the WDS back in, tell them to
click on the toolbox icon, from the drop down menu click on module
reproggramming, then click on module parameteres and on this drop down
menu its on there- disable passenger airbag. it should take a couple of
mins to do, you may have to sign a disclamer though.

Why do that ? The baby seat is intended to be placed in the back seat.
