focus se 2000 wagon open door light stay on in cluster

The open door light stay on in the cluster,  dome light close normally
so i don’t think it’s a door switch. anybody have an Idea on that??

Bare wire someplace?  They neg/ground wire to the switch.  But interior
light not on?

If chime sounds and interior light comes one you likely have a failed
switch (located on the door pin)  easily replaced with a replcement
from scrapper with Torx head socket / driver.

OI had to do it to my 01 wagon (north american)
