I have a -05 Focus station wagon, manual.
Works fine during winter, heated windscreen, esp, abs.
Corrotion prevention is not at top just avarage,
according to magazine tests.
Sweden has salted roads during winter, i use winter tyres.

The 2008 Focus can be ordered with an automatic braking system
(ABS) and traction control ($385) for better stopping and starting
on slippery roads. I'm quite happy with the winter handling of my
Focus during Buffalo winters. The standard all-weather tires are
also quite good.
ABS is standard equipment on the Civic.

I have a 2007 focus ghia... ABS comes as standard with that trim...but I
could have had traction control but it was an extra. We havent had enough
snow for long enough here in north lincolnshire since I got it in march 07,
however many times I have had to brake unexpectedly in the rain and the ABS
has come in... with good control.
Having said that I always remember when ABS first came in and it was snowing
on the motorway...the driver thought he was indestructable as he overtook
this line of cautionuse drivers...only to find his front end buried in the
central reservation barrier 5 miles further on and the police in attendance!
The trouble with all the gizzmos is that they are an aid... not a panacea.
