Just about to change my 1.8 TDCi Focus Zetec Climate 05 (04 shape) for the
new 58 Focus Zetec Climate 2.0 TDCi non DPF.

Would anyone like to coment on this car and engine as to reliability and
fuel consumption or anything else. Any comments would be gratefully
accepted. Please reply to group.

Thanks - Mike

Stonkingly good engine. Bags of grunt. I get 43 mpg at 80-85mph cruise
and 50 mpg at a leisurely 65-70 mph. Six speed box takes a while to get
used to but its very nice.

I concur...... 136BHP means bags of power when you need it.... as an ex
petrol man it took a bit of getting used to doing 1500rpm at 70mph, but even
at that there is bags of torque. The 6th gear is an absolute boon on the
motorway.. and I regularly get 40MPG in winter and 46MPG in summer with up
to 51MPG on long runs.

I think there are problem with this cars especial the TDCI. don't get m
wrong they do drive fine and the they do save money on fuel. but when th
engine prodlem start god help you mate. even the dealer do not know wher
to look. so when you are buying make sure you have a long waranty to g
with it. good luck.
