I have a 2000 ZX3 and after 83,000 miles It needs a bit of r134. I
can't
locate the low side connector. There is a port which says evaporator control
port, 1 psi max. Don't like the idea of trying to use that. The high side
connector appears to be
on the condenser. Aside from the previously mentioned port with
a green cap I can't find any other low side port at all. Does anyone know
where the darn thing is?

you dont just ADD r134a , toomuch and it doesn't work, too little and it
doesnt work
Take it to an AC service place, pay them the $40 for a complete servicing.

You are quite right about not just adding 134. I do, however have a 134
gauge set and manifold, temperature- pressure chart and about 35 years
experience servicing my own auto ac systems as well as for others. This is
the first time I've looked at the Ford r134 system in my Focus. It could
well be that no one in this group knows how to service the system and
therefore don't know where the low side port is. I'm sure not going to pay
$40 dollars when a1/2 pound of r-134, which is about the most it would
probably need, costs me $1.50. I suppose I'll have to ask around the area
I'm in ( Florida) at the moment.

i've got the 2001 focus se. i'd like to drop in some 134 on the low side.
i see the low side pressure sensor on the tubing by the evap. can that be
used as a charge port? Also see the high side sensor...don't see anything
else that might be a charge port and my manual just says "take it to the
dealer" (love that manual).
If you find out, please tell me.

the port to charge the ac is in front of the right front wheel. this is the
low side port. I just charged mine and it required I remove the right front
wheel to get to it
