This a long shot, but I though I'd ask anyways.
Would it be possible to install the Blaupunkt MP3 head unit from a Ford
Focus, such as the one here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3086587394&category=18798

in a different car (in my case a '99 Accord EX V6)?

I'm concerned with physical fit (the Ford unit looks like Double DIN, but is
it?) and the wiring.

Thanks in advance.

I installed a Ford 6000 unit in my Mazda MX-5, not necessarily for the sound
quality, but because I liked the OEM look and the big rotary volume control.
It's not quite double DIN, I think, as I needed to fabricate a small filler
panel, but otherwise it looks quite good in place.  The width is certainly
DIN.  For wiring, I bought a Ford wiring plug from a stereo shop and
spliced/soldered in the appropriate wires from the Mazda.  The wiring is not
exotic, just the standard power, speakers, antennae, light etc.

Do you happen to have the pinout for the Ford 6000 wiring plug?
cheers

Cool, I've been googling for an hour without any success. I'll search
further.

If you do go for it, don't forget to make sure the seller has the
original factory security code, otherwise it won't work when you
switch it on!
