Riding along with the top down enjoying the day, the cd ended and it tried
to switch to the next cd and blammo, CD ERROR. Now I guess I have to go back
to the dealership and sit there for half a day waiting for someone to tell
me that I'll be without a stereo for a while so they can send it in for
repair. Its still under warranty but what a bummer.

I hope you at least tried ejecting the cds and then re-trying.  Maybe you
have one bad cd.  Or, sometimes some dust or whatever might get in there and
cause a momentary "error".  Eject all the cds and then reinstall some
different cds and give it a shot... it'll probably be fine.

The stock players are notorious for not liking the thickness of make-yer-own
labels on burn-yer-own CDs.

OMG stick on CD labels should be outlawed

Got a post card from Ford some time ago saying not to use stick on labels.

That's the problem, all the cd's are stuck, ejecting any of them results in
"CD ERROR" and the door is shut. I opened the door to try to sneak a peak
and can't even see a CD. The cd's are copies of originals but no labels are
attached they are just marked with a Sharpie.
Anyway, I took it to the dealership today (1.5 hours), they took the
numbers down and are ordering a new one, it will take about 2 weeks to get
it, then back to the dealer for an install, then 4 more weeks to get the
cd's back. I have the originals so not that big of a deal if I don't.
