Gotcha!

I finally got the motor dropped into the '69. Almost finished reassembling
her. Kick a.s!! I'll get her over to a dyno in the next few weeks to see
what I have, though the builder is expecting in the neighborhood of 450/450.
I'm not sure how long the ol' FMX'll stand up to the abuse. It chirps
through all 3 gears though. Woo Hoo!!

I had this kid pull up next to me yesterday in his riced out Celica and fart
can du jour. I'm in the '69. He's revvin' that damn weedwacker and trying to
have a staredown contest with me. I rolled my window down, looked at him...
and LAUGHED MY a.s OFF!!! A wild, animalistic, in your face, Jim Carrey as
the Mask, full on, convulse until you think your gonna pee kinda laugh. He
didn't know how the f-ck to take it. I guess he REALLY thought I was gonna
race him... through a stoplight... during rush hour... in Denver!!! As he
blasted past me from the light. I noticed a Subaru sticker on his rear
bumper, WTF!!! I guess he thought it was close to the Nike swoosh and he
liked the little stars.

FMX was pretty solid in my 72 428CJ, and a mechanic friend said I'd
blow the engine before the tranny went. Accurate? I dunno, but I never
had a bit of problem with it. And it scartched through the gears.
