Hello all.  I'm about to move from Cali to the east coast and I've heard
stories that later model cars brought from California to the north east
coast develop engine problems or don't run very well.

Has anyone else heard this?  Is it an emission's thing?  Or is it the cold,
the salt, the humidity?  Or is it just untrue?

Thanks in advance!

Don't know anything about that, but my sympathies are with you
anyway.... :  (

My 98 Cobra has done pretty well... just a couple times she bitched about
the cold weather.
We moved a year ago from California to Tennessee.

Only things I can recommend are:
*Give it a good check up before you leave, including air filter, tires (air
pressure and rotation) battery (if it's old, chances are when it gets cold,
it WILL fail on you), some fuel injector cleaner and an oil change..
Do be prepared to clean the salt off if you drive it in the winter... these
people have never heard of sand. Fortunately I do not have to drive mine in
anything other than fair weather and an occasional thunderstorm.

You SURE you want to move?
Man, I'd really check it out first, in peron.

i doubt if it would develop engine or driveability problems based on that
(mine didnt)

its just an emission thing to pass in cali
