Kate,
I know what you're saying Kate. Okay, maybe keep Chevy, Caddie,
Hummer, and maybe Pontiac. But Saturn? They're entry level. That's
Chevys market. GMC. What the heck is that? Trash that one. Saab is
a waste. That's Caddies market. Speaking of which, Buick is another
one that should go. Have an upscale premium Chevy sedan and then a low
cost Caddie to fill Buick's gap. Pontiac could maybe be [finally]
the performance division. Pontiac would have the GTO, the upcoming
2-seater, and maybe fit in a little hot hatchback.
Bottom line GM is hurting, bad. They need to get down to a core
instead of playing around like they have for the 20+ years hoping
Toyota, Honda, BMW, ect. are just temporary. What they've been doing
is trying to hold onto the past as long as possible. All the similiar
shared models is a big waste of money. They need make the cuts they
know they have to make, or will have to make, and be done with it.
