Be prepared for a long-term desire for a cigarette. In my personal
experience, it seems that there are two addictions, which I think of
as chemical and emotional. The chemical addiction only lasts for a
few weeks, while the emotional addiction lasts much longer. I haven't
had a cig, not even a puff, for 22 years; yet I still get the urge
a couple of times a year.
And, I've heard a couple of ex-junkies say that quitting heroin was
easier than quitting cigs. Go to most AA or NA meetings, and notice
all the smoke.
Hang tough, Kate.

My last quit was for 16 years, so I do understand what you are saying.
I would even smoke one or two now and then, maybe once or twice a year when
we went out for a beer.

I have ehard the same thing. Since I've never tried heroin, I couldn't tell
you if it's true or not.
| Hang tough, Kate.
Thanks Bob!
