Yea, Ford put the 390 in the mustang in 67, 68, and 69. The 428 too, in 68,
69, and 70.

How about latter like 87 and up I was thinking to convert my 4 banger into a
v8 390,428 would this work?

It would but the 460 makes more power cheaper than the 390 or 428.

Hi Merc I have the 428 and a 390 and trans but have not found any ideas
about installing them. Is there any? Thanks.
