390,428 conversion in mustang

Hi Has anyone tried to put in a 390,428 fe in the mustang? I have heard of
429,460 been put in. Is there a kit to install the 390,428? What wopuld be
required? Thanks.

Yea, Ford put the 390 in the mustang in 67, 68, and 69. The 428 too, in 68,
69, and 70.

How about latter like 87 and up I was thinking to convert my 4 banger into a
v8 390,428 would this work?

It would but the 460 makes more power cheaper than the 390 or 428.

Hi Merc I have the 428 and a 390 and trans but have not found any ideas
about installing them. Is there any? Thanks.
