I need advise on how to get the heater and and AC box out of the car. It is
a 69 Mach 1 with factory AC. This is one of those weekend change overs that
is taking a month. I have removed the dash and all the wiring that goes with
it. I have taken the 3 bolts that hold the assembly to the dash but there
seems to be something holding it next to the firewall and I can't get there.
I have Chilton's manual but it is not very good in exlpaining what must be
done to remove the stuff.
Would the shop manuals be any better?
Thanks,
Lee

IIRC, there are nuts on the firewall inside the engine bay that are threaded
onto studs coming out the back of the heater box through the firewall from
inside the car. Make sense? I know it's that way on my '68 'Chero.

Thanks a lot! I will get back to it this weekend. I had plans on restoring
the car but now lean to a restomod. Your 69 fastback is nice looking, thanks
for including the link. I think it will take a lot of  time, patience,
money, patience, help and of course more patience on the car to get it
there.
Thanks again,
Lee

Definitely more fun to drive than a concours resto job!
