Coolant Leakage. On & Off

Well Kate you were as good as right. The leak did occur at a frost (freeze)
plug only that the plug had been replaced with a block heater (I think the
factory does that for the Canadian market) . Element was corroded but
leaking occurred around the "O" ring. Whole assembly must have moved
slightly and reseated itself. Thanks to those that responded.

    Frost plug in the head? Or in the side of the block? I've live in da
nordth for all my life and never seen a block heater in a head frost
plug - always in the block on 5.0's.

In the side of the block. What made you think of the heads?
