Agreed, but Hollywood has tons of those things in yards, as well as a
long list of sources for rentals and leases from private parties to
fill their needs. Those cars are wrecked and hauled back to the yard
where a team is geared to rebuild them into whatever the studio needs
next. The can do the same with planes from the bone yards, like the
one in Mojave. Rows of 747s, DC8s, etc. And the have the skills to
make one thing look like another thing. Besides, most of the cars you
see get wrecked, are little more than shells, while the good copy is
preserved to be used again.
