My FIRST one, when I returned from Vietnam, was a 5 year old '65 FB in
mint condition which cost me, with financing, $1069, had the below
except for A/C and it was only a 2V. And this one.... is it only 10
times?  I thought it was MUCH more.... LOL... Actually, I "think" (I
have not tallied all the receipts yet) it's only somewhere between 5
and 7 times.... not counting the aggravation...

Hey Spike:

Your stang is a beauty.  Cannot believe that in 1 year and I bet a lot of
dough, you converted this stang from rags to cash.

Thanks. Actually, it would have taken a lot less time... and probably
a lot less money... Live and learn... often the hard way.

Aggravation is worth at least 40%.

In '73 I bought a brand new Mach 1 for $4200 and some change. Times have
changed.

In 1970 I returned from Vietnam and bought a mint condition 1965
Mustang Fastback, 289 2V, C4 auto, power steering and brakes, for
$1,069 WITH the financing charges included. I sold that car to get
married.... : 0 ) My cousin still drives it, and the marriage went
bust after 13 years.

Wonder what the collector cars of the future will be? The 2005
Mustang? Scion? Hummer?

Cool. Got something similar from Pontiac Historical Services about my
Poncho. I was pleasantly SHOCKED that that info was avail several
decades later!

But keep in mind inflation, Spike.

$3211 1966 dollars is about $19,000 in 2005 dollars.

And that $283 A/C system costs more than a GPS navigation system in 2005
dollars!

Which is why I said "nostalgia"  LOL : 0 )  Back then we had gas for
20 cents a gallon... and still got full service, stamps, and
glassware, silverware, dinnerware, or whatever.....
