I recall some people were posting about this...

http://www.stangsunleashed.com/docs/gt500.features.0306.pdf

(1) Coupe available with standard over-the-top Racing Stripes and .GT500.
side stripes. Over-the-top Racing Stripes or all stripes can be
deleted. (Coupe not available with stand-alone over-the-top Racing Stripes.)
(2) Convertible not available with over-the-top Racing Stripes. .GT500.
side stripes can be deleted.

It's too bad they are not offering '67/'68 shelby dark green with
white stripes.

That's the last straw!   I aint gonna buy one unless it's a Shelby Green

plausible excuse for EVERYTHING I'm either too lazy or too poor to do.

Your lame attempt at comedy aside, it seems that there are more people
unhappy with ford's behavior with regards to marketing, production, and
distribution than being in agreement with you, perfectly happy with a
scheme that couldnt be better designed for high dealer premiums. If you
have an ownership stake at a Ford dealership I could understand liking
it, given a short-term perspective. However, Ford is sending a clear
message to many car buyers that Ford cares more about it's dealers than
the car buyers.

You only reinforce that it is with this post of yours.

For the short term. Long term is another story.

Never said it f.cking was.

Ford's north american operation's present way of doing business has been
serving them so well. What were their 2005 loses again? Isn't their bond
rating somewhere south of 'junk' now? Before they started selling their
best product in this manner they were actually making big time profits
and had billions in the bank which allowed them to aquire other car
companies overseas. Yep, they're doing a bang up job this way, a bang up
job.

The complaint about Ford and GM is that they don't make cars people want
to buy. Ford has made one people want to buy, and Ford's response is to
purposely constrict supply. Somehow, I don't think that is going to
correct their basic business problem. But hey, you obviously know how to
run a business, and if the dealers come first, by golly they have to come
first. But I don't see how making customers go away and never come back
just to collect some big dealer preimums on a small number of cars is
going to be a net benefit to Ford's business. (or even the dealer's
business)
