Three days ago the car would crank but would not start. Eventually i
got it started by turning the key back and trying again. Then yesterday
it did the same thing however took a little more coaxing this time. I
managed to get it started and get a new tank of gas. It got home then
this morning it will crank but not start. I disconnected the battery in
hopes that it would clear any computer codes, reset the Fuel pump shut
off switch and it still won't start. Anyone have any suggestions?

I had a similar problem with my 2001 Mustang GT.  Eventually it got to
the point that it would not start at all, but it would crank.  The
problem with my car ended up being the fuel pump.  For parts and labor
it ended up costing about $500.  I hope this isn't the problem with
your car.  I just had this work done about 2 months ago.

every time you turn the key to on it turns on the fuel pump for a
second to prime the line. if your car starts better after turning your
key on and off a few times without cranking, your fuel pump is
probably getting weak.

I had this same problem two months after I bought my 2001 Mustang new.
It was
a faulty fuel pump, replaced under warranty.
