Brake lights, wipers, turn signals

having a problem on where to start,  what to do,  I have the wiring
diagram for my 66.  not sure where to start at.

1. does my brake lights run through my turn signals?

2. Could my brake switch be diconnected from my dash?

Yes.  It has to in order for the brake lights to blink when you are
signaling.

Sure.
