bluedevil_1950@yahoo.com - 04 Oct 2007 03:29 GMT I have a 2002 Cobra and I'm looking for tires that will last longer than the BF Goodrich soft compound tires. I have a 4.10 gear in it but I'm not one for laying rubber. Just daily driving finishes off a set of rear tires in less that 10k miles. I don't race the car and rarely exceed 100 MPH. Any suggestions?

I am a lil confused by your post unless it was a posting error. They didn't make a 2002 Cobra in the USA. If they still call the Canadian Mustangs Cobra's perhaps but then wouldn't you mention kilometers vs miles?

I know for sure during the 80's, not sure how long they continued using the name though.

Then you either have not been there long enough or you didn't pay attention at the time.

Identical to the GT, just a Cobra decal on the trunk.

I am pretty sure it was to keep the name alive. The use it or lose it theory.

Gerry - 17 Oct 2007 22:27 GMT I am thinking of buying a 2001 Bullitt Mustang and wonder what the collector ones say in the 2000 number range are going for.
I have had a 66 and have a 2003 GT Convert, but have always liked that 2001 ..
Any info would be helpful
Thanks,
Gerry

Tony Alonso - 18 Oct 2007 04:48 GMT Go to www.imboc.com for more information. The prices vary from $9000 to $16,000, depending on mileage and condition. Lower numbered Bullitts (except perhaps in the 1-10 range) are not necessarily any higher in value than others.

Good all around tire, good traction. Don't last long on my car, but I love the smell of burning rubber.

As you know, these Cobras are prone to wheel hop.

As you know, these Cobras are prone to wheel hop. On the dry pavements out here in AZ...fine. Nothing squirrelly with good transfer to both rear wheels on my 96 GT auto. But the "wear like iron" comment might mean that I'm not as aggressive. But if your BFGs were anything like my original-equipment Firestone Firehawks, you'll appreciate the wear pattern on the Yokos above all else...not to mention puncture resistance.
