Just google for Ford 4.6 problems. To me, they are not as stout as the old
5.0.

Which factory 302 built in the last 30 years will reliable make and handle
450 horsepower without cracking a valve cover or oil pan???
I'll save you the trouble of looking, none of them. You can bolt a blower
onto any new 4.6, never touch the engine or heads internals, and reliable
make and hold up to 450 horsepower.
If we are really talking about STOUT, the 4.6 beats the 302 hands down.

While I love the 302 I have to agree that the 4.6L is a much better
engine. The difference in strength between the blocks is substantial.
Look at the power people are getting from the '03-'04 Cobra engines.
They make 700+ rwhp without removing the valve covers. The lifter
valley and main caps in the 302 blocks will start to fail around 450
rwhp. With forged rods and pistons a 4.6L block can well exceed this
number.

Well, you could also google small block Chevy problems, Nissan
problems, Chrysler problems, VW problems,
Model T problems and get all kinds of answers. The people who have
zero problems don't post and the ones who
have a problem will.
