iv got a 97 3.8 v6 and i want to change the exhaust but i cant figuer
out how to git the old off because i dont want to cut it is there any
way to do that

After they've been together for a few years, it's a
real pain to take them apart at the slip joints.  If
you live in salt country, it will be darn near
impossible.

Just break out the sawzall and cut it off.

if no saw, if no torch, beat it off with a hammer

Can try heating with a torch before applying the hammer...
