When starting around a corner, the steering wheel does not return to
straight by itself. Ball joints, tie rods, tires all good. Just
aligned, but that didnt help. I suspect the auto locking hubs are
engaging. Does that sound like it would cause the steering issue?
Anyone have this problem?
TIA

Caster affects steering wheel auto return. Are you sure you don't have a dry
ball joint?

When the auto locking hubs fail, they usually DON'T engage, not the other
way around.

Caster has some effect but there is a built in preload in steering box
that helps it return to center than can go bad because I have seen it
happen. If it was a tight ball joint he would feel drag all the time,
not just on return. ALso if you have oversize rubber and/or offset
wheel this can add a lot of strain to steering box and shorten its
life.

The steering box does not auto return the steering wheel.
