It has happend a couple of times, once at 20mph and at 65mph, our 99
Ford Van with a V10 Triton loses power. It's like someone turned the
key off. I coast to the side of the road and it starts up again
without hesitation. There is no jerking or rough running engine...all
is smoothe then nothing - lights out.
Anyone else heard or experienced this?

Sounds like a intermittent electrical connection. Possibly in the ignition
circuitry. The problem will likely worsen over time, perhaps making it
easier to find. Unfortunately, that's the best info I can give.

two areas to look at are fuel pump relay and Fuel pump; or possibly RFI
interference with a engine component. Could get tricky without a scanner.

I had the exact thing happen with a vehicle...It would die at 65 mph on the
freeway about twice a week, truck would coast to a stop and immediately
restart. After a few months of this the fuel pump quit completely.
