As long as it is the same engine block mounting pattern. For example, a 302
or 351W will interchange while a 302 and a 351M will not.

Thanks Razor...what the difference, or how would one identifiy the M
vs. W engines?
Thanks

351C/M/400 335 series: 8 bolts in rectangular valve covers. Timing chain
housing is part of block. Thermostat housing on block. Exhaust bolt holes
diagonal.
351M/400 335 series: intake is 12.7" wide the 351C is narrow.
351W/302/5.0L 6 bolts on trapezoidal valve covers. Thermostat housing on
intake. Exhaust bolt holes horizontal.
429/460 385 series: 7 bolts in rectangular valve cover
352/360/390/427/428 FE series: Intake goes under valve covers.
There are more specifics but this should tell you which engine family you
are in.

You cannot have a 351M or 400 engine in a 1995. They were discontinued in
the early 80's. For your application, I think if you have a 302/351 they'll
interchange fine since they both have the smaller bell housing. If you have
a 460, it's a larger bell housing. I'm thinking the 300 (4.9) is a large
bell housing also, like the 460, but it might be the smaller 302/351
housing. Someone else will know.

The 300-6 is a small block bell housing.

I suspected it was, but couldn't remember for sure. Thanks.
