I'm looking at puchasing a 99-01 Ranger pickup.  Don't have one in
particular picked out yet, but it must be extended cab, have four wheel
drive and an automatic transmission.  These can be found with both 3 and
4 liter engines.  If there are some owners out there, I'd appreciate
some real world fuel usage numbers.

Thanks in advance...

They get rather poor mileage for a compact vehicle...less than 20 mpg.

If you *must have* and extended cab, you will be much better served by a
full sized 4x4. The mileage is about the same.

I've heard the automatic is a dog.
