I Have a 1996 grand prix there is a noise a loud clunking noise when you
begin to slow down comming from the transmission. then when the car is in
isdle there is the same intermediate noise comming from the tranny even more
so when you slightly rev the engine . occasionaly it seems like the trany
slips slighty and the engine revs. could it be a bad torque converter?

Run over it with a Ford truck and it won't make that noise anymore.
