Having lived in Concord for half a century, I think this city has WAY to many cops. They bore easily. Most are ego maniacs. And the females are the worst. Then when you were stopped I willing to bet you were either a loud mouth or challenged the cop in some way. Is it possible you have a bad reputation in town?. People normally don't get tickets for overloads. I've been a cop for over 28 yrs and have never had to write one for it yet. I for one would like to have either seen the video of the stop,read the officers notes. Apparently he was ethical to realize he made a mistake and nol prossed it at court rather than taking a chance with it and going to trial. You might have been found guilty. It has to do with one bad apple, and there are way too many of them working in law enforcement. There are way too many complacent citizens who just accept it and say nothing. Worse there are misguided fools like yourself who have no clue what they are talking about, and attack someone who is complaining about one of these cops who likely shouldn't even have a badge and gun. OK, my truck has a 9900lb GVW rating. It weighs about 6800 lbs as it sits right now. (At least that's what the scale at the dump said last time I was weighed out) That leaves me a payload capability of 3100 lbs.. Max load in the bed is 4,000lbs per the owner's manual.. Tires are 3150lbs max each and wheels are rated at 3500lbs each. So, if I load up 4000lbs of gravel in the bed, I'm 900 lbs over max gross, but since the tires and wheels can handle 12600lbs, I'm actually 1800lbs under the weight rating??? If we follow your logic, that would be the case. My truck is defined as a "1-Ton" but it certainly can haul more than 1 ton and certainly weighs a lot more than 1 ton.. Shouldn't mine be a 5-ton since it's 9900lbs GVW rating is pretty damned close to 5 tons?
