Hi, the weirdest things happened to my truck today. When in gear (automatic, 4.6l 4x4) the wipers and radio do not work. When I shift the truck into neutral or park they do work. Also when the truck is shut off the blower motor keeps blowing until it will drain the battery. Has anyone ever heard of this happening or know what could be the problem. I had the exact same problems. I had the problem after I washed my truck and also when we had a hard rain. Change the main fuse block behind the dash. (Left of the steering wheel) At the Ford dealer the fuse block cost me $90.00 It took me about an hour to change it. All the fuses come with the fuse block. All you need is a 10mm socket. Unbolt the wire connection at the rear, unbolt the fuse block and drop down to remove. After the block is out remove the controller from the rear of the block. Reverse to install. I changed mine twice before I discovered the cause. There are two channels in the roof of the cab, running from front to back. The channel on the driver's side had a bad seal, and water leaks in at the top of the windshield. Ford issued a service bulletin on this problem. Okay, weirdest thing, the seal at the top of my windshield has been off for about three weeks, got tired of it flapping in the wind, ripped it off, and have been meaning to have it resealed. Othere thing is that since yesterday it's been raining over here. Can you send me your email or email me my email is chadkatsympaticodotca I am using a web based newsreader and it blocks the fulladdress of your email. Chad I have some similar problems on a 1999 F150. Did some searching and found it ususally is the GEM module that plugs into the back of the fuse block. Usually fails when it gets wet. This comment about the fuse panel I have not found anywhere else, but it worked for him! In my case I believe I am getting a short in the wiring harness outside the firewall, I have not been able to find any moisture in around the inner fuse box or GEM. My problems come after a drive in heavy rain. I cleaned up the connectors at the firewall and coverd them over with a plastic bag and it has been good for a few weeks. Let us know what you find out. Brad Well I sealed above were the water was coming in. The part in Canada is $250, so I decided to see what happens, if the problem will possibly correct itself when drying out. So far only thing now is that the radio stays on which is not that big of a deal. Chad
