Wrote the group Saturday, told it was sensors
and took the truck to AAMCO Monday,
they found open vehcile speed sensor, manual
lever positon sensor out of range.
$211 in parts,$105 in labor--six hours later.
Havent driven it to work yet but it seems okay.
Hope it last awhile, going to drive it to the
Poconos next Friday to see my brother, finally.
Havent been driving this truck except to work,
couldnt trust it anymore.
I'd like to thank all of you for relying and helping this non-mechanic.

Thanks for the feedback.  What surprises me is that an AAMCO
shop repaired only what was needed at the going Ford dealer
rate instead of insisting on a complete overhaul!
