Hi,

Is there online access to a factory manual for a 2001 E350?  I need to check
the vacuum connections for the dash vents.  Unfortunately, I have had some
busy mice chomping away!  They chewed through one black line in the
passenger area, and I can only find 1 end of the line...   I now get no air
coming out of the dash vents.

Thanks!

the vacuum supply hose is black and comes through the fire wall at the right
side and then goes straight up and over the top of the heater case. You can
pry out that panel on top of the dash at the right and there you can see vac
motors and hoses. the black one goes over to the a/c controls. The mices like
to make nests from insulation and they'll chew right through a wire harness's
and vacuum hoses just because they're haters. And all the while crapping and
peeing on everthing. I saw one, just once, you could tell he'd been taking
steroids, he had that big caveman brow and this testicals were all shrunk up.
But it was that look he gave me, it it was HORRRRRRRRRABLE. I'm still seeing
a shrink, but at least I'll don't lose control of my bowels any more when
some says " HAVE A MICE DAY, SIR"

Dear Mr Monkeyboy,

Thank you!!   With your words of wisdom, I rigged a line from the free black
end over to the line in the engine off the intake manifold and voila!  I
imagine they somehow chewed the line at the point that it goes into the
firewall.  I'll check the details in the morning.

Now to try to figure something to keep the mice at bay.  I could understand
their chewing the lines if there were something worth drinking in the line,
but for a vacuum line, all they get is air!

Again, my thanks!
