A quick question.  Has anyone figured out a great method for keeping mice
out of engines?  They seem to love my E350; they build comfortable large
nests right in the middle of the intake manifold of the V10; they then
proceed to eat the vacuum lines.

This vehicle is an RV, meaning it spends most of its life waiting to be
used.  I imagine if I drove it more, there would not be a problem.  It sits
for a couple months without being moved.

I have spread Decon in various places; the mice just seem to devour it;
probably some die, but more quickly come back to settle in.  Are there
better methods?

I have a similar problem with my snowmobiles and a Kawasaki Mule which all
stay at my cabin. Someone suggested to me mothballs or fabric softener
sheets that you put in the dryer. I already had the fabric softener sheets,
so I tried it, so far so good. Put the sheets where the mice like to nest.
Make sure you remove them before you use the RV.

Put a tray of tomcat kibble in the engine compartment?  Found in any
supermarket in the roach killer section.  Or save $6 and put a bowl of
pet kibble soaked in antifreeze in the same place?

maybe if you fed them better. you have to look at the big picture mice in the
van isn't the problem you have to take care of your whole area rodent
infestation. get with pest control
