National news tonight :
Ford Motor Company has a huge recall for engine fires.
They also said Bill Ford wouldnt have his job there if his last name
wasn't Ford .

This is just an expansion of the cruise control switch deactivation switch
recall. Ever since the original problem was discovered, people keep deciding
that other vehicles are affected as well. I think there is a lot of lying
going on here. Before the original recall, there were virtually no vehicle
soutside a certain well defined range that had the problem. After the recall
was announced, suddenly every Ford with a cruise control deactivation switch
is about to burst into flames - and some of the one people are blaming don't
even have the same sort of switch.

Well this is probably true. But be honest, how many CEO actually would have
their jobs if the world was fair? In my opinion a lot of US CEOs are little
more than crooks. At least Bill Ford is not getting paid billions for
running the company into the ground. Most of Ford's problems can be traced
to his predecessor (Nasser) who blew Ford's massive profits by buying Jaguar
and Volvo, instead of developing new products.

Frankly, that won't make any difference. Fords problems are much more
serious than one silly recall.
