Power door locks?

I'm working with a 99' F350 crew cab with power door locks and I'm
finding problems with them when locking and unlocking the doors with
the button on both the passenger and driverside doors.  I've heard
about the actuators going out but I'm not sure that would happen to all
four doors at one time.  Is there a master relay or coil that controls
all these doors that could be malfunctioning?  I'm not at all framiliar
with how "power door locks" work internally.  I have to hit the button
a few times for the locks to completely go up or down and some of them
don't change at all.  Help me friends.

Logic says that all door locks should not fail independently at the same
time, therefore if all have failed then there must be a commonality to the
problem. The common point would be a relay, OR the Control Box.

I haven't taken my Ford doors apart yet, but my Honda had the window master
controller inside the driver side door. It had an issue with cold soldier
joints, and an appointment with my soldering iron made it all better. I
don't know if cold solder joints is an issue with the Ford units, but once
you find the control box, looking for cold solder joints requires nothing
more than a careful inspection, and perhaps a magnifying glass.
