I have a '95 Bronco with a slight oil leak. I can't tell where the oil comes
from, but the inspection plate on the bellhousing is wet, and a couple of
the oil pan bolts are wet as well. I thghtened the pan bolts, but the leak
persists.
I also own a Jeep that leaks in a similar manner and it looks just like a
rear main problem, but is really leaking from the valve cover gasket.
Where does the 5.8L Ford motor leak from most of the time?
Thanks

Often it's the rear of the intake gasket, but the mains leak too...

Its 11 year old, around 150K ?, probably needs a re-seal
Start with valve covers and intake, drive a couple of weeks and do oilpan
and rear main if necessary
Most of the time you cant fix a major oil leak with 1 gasket or seal, just
do the right thing
