I'm pretty sure the nearest dealer could give you a repair manual, but
he'd probably want some money in return.

No need to shout...go to your local library and check-out a repair
manual....

Will agree, turn off the bloody cap lock.

On responses so far, the dealer is not going to have a repair manual for an
engine that ceased production 50+ years ago.  And I doubt very many
libraries
will have a manual ether. Hemmings, or search the internet for web sites
devoted
to the year of your rig, and there will probably be links to sources of
manuals.

As late as 1953 the Ford F-100 was available with a 254 cid L-head
6 cylinder engine.

He is probably too young to have seen one of those old L-heads or perhaps
even a flathead 8....

If it has the original flat head 6, its 226 cid engine. From 41-47 it was
rated 90hp,
but 47-51 it was rated 95 hp.
http://www.kanter.com/p30-fon.html#fo6  is a good source of engine parts.
