Carb Question

Hey, guys,

I've got an '84 F250, 4.9L 300.

Just installed a rebuilt carb. Carter 1 barrel.

It is seeping fuel around the gasket where the top of the carb screws
down.

The throttle position sensor is disconnected and there is no PCV
valve. It's running fine otherwise.

If I need the TPS, I'll have to switch them out, 'cause the new one
has a different connector than the old one. I still have the old one.

Any ideas are appreciated.

the rebuilt carterburator shouldn't seep.
plus it sounds like you didn't get the correct
carb because  of the different connector.
why no pcv valve?

Thanks for all the replies. No specific question, really. I'll try to
be more specific in the future. The truck tore up, it has a lifetime
of abuse and neglect behind it, and I've been trying to fix what I can
afford to fix in order to keep it running.

It's running better now. To answer your question, Sam, there's a lot
of stuff on the truck unhooked or missing.(egr valve plugged off,
throttle position sensor, vacuum motor(i think) isn't there anymore.)

Thanks, everyone, and have a great day.
